Adult Choir
St. Daniel's Senior Choir
rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 P.M.
With many talented voices the Adult Choir provides a rich variety of sacred music to our Services.
Tara Bernstel, Director of Music, is a graduate of Kutztown University with an emphasis on Music and Education. Tara has also taken continuing education courses at Villanova University. She was the music director/teacher at St. Elanor School in Collegeville, PA where she taught 27 classes per week and was responsible for the music department's curriculum development. Recently, she served as the Soprano Section Leader at Calvary Reformed UCC in Reading, and Director of the Children's Choir. Tara brings leadership and great joy to worship services and the entire music program.
Keith Morgan is the congregation's organist and choral accompanist. Mr. Morgan has been a church musician in many capacities for the past 30 years and comes to St. Daniel’s from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Port Carbon, PA, where he has served as Parish Musician – directing both the Chancel Choir and Young People’s Choir as well as serving as the parish organist. While at St. Paul’s, Keith, along with the Fabry Organ Company, was instrumental in the rebuilding and additions to the congregation’s aging pipe organ. Prior to returning to Pennsylvania some 10 years ago, Mr. Morgan had served congregations in the Baltimore, Maryland area as an organist and music director. Keith is a voting member since 2001 of the ‘Association of Lutheran Church Musicians’ (ALCM) and he resides southwest of the Pottsville area with his cat, London.
